We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable freelance technical energy journalist to write for Energize (energize.co.za). The ideal candidate will have a background in journalism, with a specific focus on producing high-quality technical news articles within the energy sector. Responsibilities:

• Research and stay updated on the latest developments, innovations, and trends within the energy sector, with a focus on technical aspects.
• Write clear, accurate, and compelling technical news articles that cater to both industry professionals and a broader audience.
• Conduct interviews with experts, professionals, and industry leaders to gather insights and opinions for articles.
• Cover a range of topics within the energy sector, including but not limited to renewable energy, energy efficiency, emerging technologies, policy changes, and industry events.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key industry contacts, experts, and thought leaders to stay ahead of industry developments.
• Adhere to journalistic ethics and standards while maintaining a commitment to accuracy, fairness, and impartiality in reporting.
• Meet deadlines consistently and manage time effectively to ensure timely delivery of articles.
