Macallan Fine Oak is triple cask matured in European oak casks seasoned with sherry and American oak casks seasoned with sherry and bourbon, delivering extraordinarily smooth, delicate yet complex single malt.
Macallan Sherry Oak is matured in carefully selected Spanish oak casks from Jerez, Spain, creating satisfyingly rich and complex single malt.
The only distillery to have its very own Master of Wood, George Espie, is a man with nearly 40 years of Scotch whisky industry experience. He will be in South Africa conducting workshops at the Maturation Zone at the FNB Whisky Live Festivals in Cape Town and Johannesburg to discuss how each cask is selected and give insights on how the selection of fine oak and sherry casks plays a role in the flavour and colours of this precious whisky.
