2011 saw her win the “Best Paper” at the annual Samra conference; in 2014, Finweek featured her as one of the “Women to Watch”; in 2015 Elna won the Gauteng Entrepreneur award from the Business Women's Association of South Africa; and, most recently, Pretorius won the “Best Presentation” award at the 2017 Samra conference.
When she's not in the boardroom aiding clients overcome their research challenges, Elna contributes some of her time and money to animal welfare and environmental issues.
