Heart 104.9FM Breakfast Show increases despite uncertainty Heart 104.9FM has proven critics wrong with a significant increase in almost all of its shows, as indicated by the recently released SAARF RAMS results. The 2nd RAMS results for 2010 has shown a 23 000 increase in listenership for the station, with the Morning Breakfast show increasing by more than 14%. After the appointment of controversial DJ, Phat Joe, there's been a lot of uncertainty and criticism around the station's decisions for changing its line-up, however since Phat Joe's appointment in December of last year, Heart 104.9FM's Morning Breakfast show enjoyed an increase in listenership, whilst other Cape Town breakfast shows have decreased in audience numbers. "It is worthwhile to mention that in comparison to the other Cape Town radio stations, almost all of Heart 104.9FM week day's figures have increased significantly. This is thanks to the hard work and commitment of our on-air and marketing teams, who know what Cape Town's beat is all about. Added to this our increase in numbers can be ascribed to the continuous support of our listeners - who make it all worthwhile," says Heart 104.9FM Programming Manager Vernon Adams.
