Freeks has been a busy bee during her time away from the station. She has been touring with the
Madam Zingara's Dinner Theatre Extravaganza as one of the singers with the Original Tons of Fun and has enjoyed entertaining audiences for a year both locally and abroad with her first love, singing.
Now her personality reaches out to you over the airwaves and this time around she is helping listeners make weekly decisions in August on what to buy, where to get it, where the most fun is, how they can party, and how to do it all on a budget.
“With the recession people still want quality products at more reasonable prices,” she says. Freeks will be out and about on Fridays, saving listeners the hassle and time of scouting for the best buys and entertainment that the Cape Town has to offer.
Corporates, both big and small, now have the chance of giving just under 600 000 listeners a pre-experience to their products or services with the aim of spurring on a quicker purchasing time.
Landing up in radio was a totally unexpected turn for this full-of-life personality. Her passion for this medium has now taken over her singing career. "It is a fantastic medium to inspire, teach, educate and motivate," she says. She believes that people are really the same as we experience life in both its good and bad forms. "We all have something to give and share because of our experiences. Radio is just the platform that we get to share and exchange our common ground," she adds.
You can also catch her husky voice on Sundays from 10pm until 1am in the morning where she speaks to Cape Town's largest nighttime listener base. She will ensure that you have a smoother transition from a laid-back weekend into the demanding week.
