Who's your daddy launches Maropeng

A consortium of eight companies that won the concession for the design, construction and operations of the Cradle of Humankind Visitor Centre and the Sterkfontein Caves over a ten year period will, from now on, be trading under the name of Maropeng a'Afrika Leisure. Construction company Stocks Building Africa heads the consortium.

As the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site is set in a predominantly Setswana speaking part of South Africa, it is fitting to give the Visitor Centre a local name and it has been officially named 'Maropeng' the Setswana word that refers to "returning to the place of origin."

Maropeng chose outdoor sites as part of their marketing thrust. The 'who's your daddy' Clear Channel Independent billboards feature an appealing gorilla to make their point.
