Metro FM announces new presenters

While Metro FM’s new DJ line up will be detailed at an exclusive media and trade briefing next week Tuesday, 20 March 2007, the station revealed yesterday, Monday 12 March, that Unathi Nkayi, KG Moeketsi and Adil More will be joining the lineup as from 1 April.

Nkayi currently presents ‘The Perfect Flow’ on YFM, while More is the presenter of AD@large on the same station. Moeketsi’s most recent position is as programme manager of P4 Durban, having previously presented breakfasts on Kaya FM.

Says Matona Ntshona, Metro FM station manager, “We are absolutely delighted to announce that Unathi, Adil and KG are joining our team. All three are among the best radio talent the country has to offer and they will each add something unique to the station.”

Details of Nkayi, Moeketsi and More’s responsibilities at Metro FM will be revealed on 20 March.

Ntshona, who is currently on leave, also announced that several people will be leaving Metro FM to take up new challenges. These are The Late Trade’s DJ Bino De Gouveia, The Uprising’s Lebo Kambule, Mdu Tshosane, (aka Duzy) presenter of the full eclipse, The Jazz Collective’s Brenda Sisane and Duma Tantsi, aka Lusi Tan, who presents the Top 40 on Saturdays.

“We would like to use this opportunity to pay tribute to these individuals who each brought their own stamp to the station, adding considerably to the strong position Metro FM finds itself today,” Ntshona added.
