Online tickets launched by Overtone

Overtone.co.za, an events company, launched its online Overtone Ticket Sales in February, 2011, to enable promoters to earn more from events than via existing ticket sales systems, by setting its fees at two percent.

"It's not just a ticket. Users are able to interact with the system in a lot more ways. They can buy and sell tickets for events, make donations to good causes, buy music, or access special offers and discounts," said Tristan Waterkeyn, Overtone founder/MD. "Where it really gets exciting is that with the affiliate structure, a promoter is able to earn more then the value of their ticket. By monetising [sic] and rewarding social interactions, we're able to take events to a bigger level."

Puts power into users' hands

"It takes marketing and eventing to a whole new level," said Magdalena Zukowski, GM. "This puts power into the users' hands and makes them feel like they are a part of the success of the event. Likewise, users also get rewarded on their social interactions in exactly the same way that promoters are. The more social interactions they make, the greater the chances of users being able to earn back the value of their ticket purchase."

The system is designed to manage events of all sizes, from small guest list style events, to large festivals that require fast bar code ticket scanning for large numbers of people. Overtones ticket management systems includes live sales reporting and secure event access management that can be operated from any online computer or mobile phone.
