Purity is extending its Tastes of Africa jarred range of baby food the launch of the new Third Food variants that cater for older babies from 8 months. This joins the Second Food Tastes of Africa, which is aimed at babies from 7 months.

The Purity Tastes of Africa range is based on traditional recipes and South African tastes and contains no preservatives, no added salt, no added sugar (except in desserts), no artificial flavours and no colourants.

"Moms now have an option that is more filling and more textured. They have a more convenient way of providing their babies with the cultural tastes that have been enjoyed at family tables for generations," comments Allison Bergh, Purity brand manager.

The new extended range includes the following variants:
Meals:


  • Vegetables Beef and Pap
  • Butternut, Pap and Lamb Stew with Carrots
  • Butternut Chicken & Pap
  • Vegetables, Pap and Lamb Stew

Desserts:


  • Granadilla, Pineapple and Pap
  • Stewed Fruit and Pap Dessert

The retail selling price for the Purity Tastes of Africa range is between R8 - R9 per jar.
