TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa (Pty) Ltd celebrates its service station rebranding with a new identity

TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa (Pty) Ltd officially celebrated its service station rebranding to align with the new TotalEnergies identity on 7 October, with TotalEnergies Northriding service station in Johannesburg as one of the sites. This rebranding goes hand in hand with the resolution to change the mother company's name from Total to TotalEnergies, thereby anchoring its strategic transformation into a broad energy company in its identity.

“We’re excited to unveil and celebrate this new brand identity. In so doing, we are affirming our identity as a broad energy company and underlining our ambition to be a major player in energy transition, on the road to Net Zero impact on the environment by 2050, together with society,” said Mariam Kane-Garcia, Managing Director and CEO of TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa Pty Ltd, the new name for Total South Africa.

“More energy, fewer emissions: that is the dual challenge we must meet with our customers, stakeholders and society as a whole to contribute to our planet’s sustainable development and effectively address the issue of climate change. In line with the Company’s efforts to achieve Net Zero by 2050, together with society, this celebration also marks a significant milestone as the Company has already solarized 2,000 service stations worldwide with 1,000 of these being in Africa. As it stands, TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa alone boasts 131 solarized stations with the rest spread across the continent”, said Pierre-Alexandre Vigil, VP for Retail Marketing & Digital of TotalEnergies Marketing and Services in Africa.

Kane-Garcia said the rebranding of TotalEnergies’ South African service stations will take place over the next 18 months with no disruption to customers. “We look forward to introducing our new brand identity and ambitions to South African motorists, many of whom we know share a commitment to minimizing our joint impact on the environment.”
