Cultural Producers called to become the creative leaders of tomorrow
Now in its second iteration, the Cultural Producer’s Programme zeros in on the issue of leadership succession in the cultural sector. 26th Basa Awards celebrates symbiotic partnerships
Now in its 26th year, the Business and Arts South Africa (Basa) Awards, recognised projects that fuse the yin and yang of business and the arts to set a programme or project in motion. Celebrating 342 winning business and arts partnerships since its inception, the 2023 Basa Awards made a break from tradition and held its signature event in Cape Town for the first time. 26th Annual Basa Awards commemorate Heritage Day by honouring exceptional collaborations in Business and Arts
Business and Arts South Africa (Basa) proudly reveals the exceptional finalists for the 26th Annual Basa Awards, honouring transformative partnerships between the realms of business and the arts. Basa, founded in 1997 as a collaborative endeavour between government and the private sector, continues its mission to cultivate innovation and mutual growth in South Africa through the arts. Debut programme empowers new graduates with entrepreneurial skills
Despite its low barrier to entry, the cultural sector can be difficult to navigate without business skills, strategic vision and marketing expertise.
