Visitors to Kololo now have access to Welgevonden

The opening of a new access gate into neighbouring Welgevonden Private Game Reserve marks the official incorporation of part of Kololo Game Reserve into the Big Five reserve.

Now guests of Kololo will enjoy convenient and direct access into Welgevonden, whilst still enjoying the freedom to explore Kololo's untouched bushveld on foot or bike. With only 'safe' game in this portion of the reserve, including impala, kudu, zebra, eland, nyala, waterbuck, rooi hartebeest, giraffe and other plains game, Kololo is still a perfect getaway for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Apart from mountain biking trails, bird watching and fishing, kids are entertained with activities such as game tracking, bush cooking and face painting, which form part of the Kololo Kid's Safari programme.

Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, a 37 500 hectare, malaria-free reserve in the Waterberg in Limpopo, offers an unsurpassed Big Five game viewing experience. Kololo guests have the opportunity to enjoy twice daily game drives within this Big Five territory, home to more than 50 different mammal and 250 bird species.
