Black Wolf Youth Agency is an NPC (not-for-profit company) and a division of Black Wolf Group. The youth agency will be managed by our future industry leaders, the youth. At Black Wolf Youth Agency, our aim is to develop strategic programmes to support our youth in gaining relevant skills in, and access to, the areas of marketing, technology and entrepreneurship.
“The Black Wolf Youth Agency was unofficially birthed in 2013 to equip tertiary students studying marketing with skills needed to enter and excel in the advertising and marketing industry,” says Black Wolf Group CEO Sven Wolf. “It has since been registered and branded in response to a growing need to create sustainability and scale impact.”
“We started out self-funding the programmes as part of our desire and passion to support our community. We have now come to realise that we need support to grow and scale our efforts. We are engaging more strategically with partners and funders to enhance our ecosystem of change,” Wolf explains.
“We aim to positively transform one million youth by 2030 through education, sports, technology and leadership programmes. This will aid in unlocking the untapped potential of the youth to enable positive economic transformation,” Wolf adds.
One aspect that makes Black Wolf Youth Agency stand out are the programmes which support the journey of the student, which include:
Black Wolf Youth Agency (entrepreneurship development including a student portal)
Ucode (a coding academy for tertiary education students)
Dalcha Champion Foundation (an MMA training academy teaching soft skills to young kids suffering from Alcohol syndrome)
Innovation through collaboration
“The brand marketing challenge was launched, in partnership with the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), in order to bridge the gap caused by Covid, which made it difficult for students to complete their work-integrated-learning,” says Wolf.
“The challenge brought the marketing industry to the students, by providing them with real-time, real-life industry challenges in the form of briefs. Reebok, Pearson SA, Primi and [email protected] participated by providing real briefs that were solved through innovative ideas while navigating Covid-19 restrictions”, he added.
The Black Wolf Group further utilised innovative thinking by creating a learning management platform for students to continue learning and becoming employable.
“Employment is a double-sided coin. Getting students ready for the industry should be accompanied by the industry getting ready for students,” Wolf explains. “The learning management platform further brings innovation to the industry by providing HR managers with a platform that will speed up training, onboarding and recruiting”.
