Seventeenth Cape HOMEMAKERS Expo a roaring success with more than 38 000 visitors over four days

The seventeenth Cape HOMEMAKERS Expo, which took place from Thursday (23 August) to Sunday (26 August) at the CTICC, was again a roaring success, attracting more than 38 000 visitors.

Says John Leyden, Strategic Business Development Director of HOMEMAKERS and one of the organisers of the show: "The 2012 Cape Homemakers Expo was a huge success with many exhibitors reporting record sales and business leads that will keep them busy for months to come. This bodes well for an industry under severe pressure and it's encouraging to see signs of a positive consumer outlook.

"The quality of the exhibits were of an extremely high standard as was noticed by the close scores of the winnings stands with one point difference between the first six gold winners. Even the typical Cape Town winter weather played its part in convincing consumers to visit an indoor event. Our numbers have again increased to 38 000, remaining on the upward trend since 2010. We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all our exhibitors, visitors and service providers for their contribution to the success of this year's expo," Leyden concluded.
