Overall the show was very well received by the public as well as the exhibitors. From walking through our entrance, beautifully designed by the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) students, visitors could walk along a great selection of décor designs, interiors, slick bathroom and kitchen options that further led you to gourmet food treats and if you were lucky in seeing Gino Fabbri in the AV Design Gourmet Lounge, you would have definitely enjoyed a proper laugh as well.
Congratulations to all award-winning exhibitors! Top accolades went to Plantation Shutters who won the Overall Award for Exhibitor Excellence, for their beautiful, functional and out of the box thinking for stand design.
Gold Awards went to: Websters Flooring, EasyLife Kitchens, Fischer By Design, EPS - Exclusive Plumbing Supplies, New Room Design, Tidy & Co, Park Lane Décor, South African National Blood Service.
Visitors entered the Dream Home Competition left right and centre as the prizes up for grabs were not to be frowned upon! Congratulations to Colleen Blignaut, winner of not only an Easy Life Kitchen to the value of R180,000 but also winner of R35,000 worth of furniture from H&T Furniture by Design and Bargain Warehouse, a solar geyser by Powerz-On Solar Solutions valued at R25 000, sanitaryware from E.P.S. Plumbing Supplies to the value of R23,000 and Build It sponsored R18,000 worth of Spar Vouchers. Plantation Shutters sponsored R15,000 worth of product, Mohair blankets to the value of R12,000, ADT security solutions to the value of R10,000, lights from Ambiente Luce to the value of R10,000, Park Lane Décor products and services to the value of R10,000 and lastly R11,000 worth of products from Webster's Flooring.
Hendrik Nell walked away with the 2015 Master Upholsterers' Challenge title and Donovan McLagan, winner of the East Cape Regional Barista Championships and will now go through to the Nationals held in November.
