Business Engage is at the forefront of SME assistance, development and the empowerment of women. Its aim is to enable individuals and companies to maximise their growth and profits through networking, mentorship, training, collaboration, entrepreneurial development and support programmes.
The organisation invited Khahliso Khohlooa, an experienced and influential marketing executive from brand activations and entertainment company, Zinto Activation Group (Zinto), to host tables of 10 people, keep the conversation flowing and attendees entertained. The event was designed to make it really easy to network. It included a number of elements from speed-networking to more structured round table discussions on hot topics and a platform for individuals to bounce ideas off each other.
Khohlooa shared her wealth of knowledge, first-hand experience and success in the brand activations industry, which has given her the credibility and authority to speak on the subject. She talked about the concept of style and beauty marketing to black women in emerging markets and the growth opportunities for brands to implement mechanics that influence purchasing behaviours, engage the target audience and communicate content to South Africans moving into the middle class. She also explained how Zinto is involved in brand activations with a marketing strategy that demonstrates the uses of a particular product.
Khohlooa previously presented at the Style and Beauty Marketing to Black Women conference organised by Marketing Mix, which took place in April 2013, and The Township Shopper Marketing Summit in May 2013, both of which were held in Johannesburg.
