These two corporate giants have united in an effort to demonstrate their renowned technologic expertise. As a result, South African's have a new perspective of marketing and advertising from two leading entities.

The Marin's team designed state of the art Lama unit's for Sony. These were Maxi Lama's with “base” and the Lama's had the most salient artwork-supplied by Volcano advertising. The displays were set up at major retail outlets around the country such as Makro, Pick n Pay, Hypermarkets etc.

“We embarked on the task with fervour and the end result was synonymous with both Marin's and Sony's professionalism. Like Marin's, Sony has also been a market leader creating innovation which is visually attractive but is also effortless,” says Derek Smit President of Marin's Southern Africa

“We found the Marin's product to be of the highest quality and more relevant than the display and POP products we had been using in the past. The design and functionality of the product suits our brand and helps to bring to life the sensory experience that is inherent in our products,” says Jason Smith, Group Product Manager of Sony.

“The Lama helped to make a small product come to life for the consumers,” continues Smith.

Marin's was a part of several campaigns for Sony such as the ‘Upgrade to HD' and ‘Save' campaign. Another prime campaign which Marin's designed Lama's for was the Sony S -Frame campaign. Units were created to hold the digital photo frames-displaying the state of the art strength of the Lama as well as its ability to capture current trends.

Marin's, a first in Southern Africa, made it easy to set up by cutting down considerably on transportation costs. This is possible since goods for an entire country can be packaged in a small container. The Marin's-Sony collaboration encompasses everything associated with cutting edge technology and is also a key trend setter for future events.
