The Advertising Benevolent Fund (ABF) recently sent out an appeal for prizes for their pub quiz which took place on 17 July at Baron on Main. Tsogo Sun responded with a generous donation of a two-night weekend stay.
This prize for the overall four winners of the pub quiz includes accommodation and breakfast for two adults and two children.
Sharlene Vallance, Executive Committee Member and fundraiser for the ABF says, "What a fantastic and generous prize! We were really holding thumbs that Tsogo Sun would assist and they have stepped up to the plate in a most admirable manner."
While the second ABF pub quiz is a fundraiser event, it is ultimately a sociable evening where people get to relax, have a few drinks and network. To accommodate all the entries, the ABF is considering moving this event to a bigger venue, because with prizes by brands like Tsogo Sun, it turns an ordinary event into a spectacular occasion.
"In addition, we need to thank Kevin van Deventer at The MediaShop for helping us to secure the prize. It's not too often nowadays that people pause and take time out of their day to assist the ABF. We are so appreciative that we have the support of the media and advertising industry, because it is for this same industry where we do most of our work."
Other prize sponsors include: Sublime Digital, Yellowwood, YFM, The Loeries, C & R Brands, Primedia Outdoor and Red Cherry.
