Dave Mortimer, Group Chief Executive Officer of Mortimer Harvey, heard the call over the radio station and immediately contacted a friend, Mark White at Mark White Nissan, to assist the SPCA branch with a new vehicle.
Mortimer Harvey contributed R25,000 and Mark White Nissan covered the balance for a new Nissan Bakkie MP 200. The vehicle was presented to the Benoni SPCA live on Hot 91.9FM yesterday morning, with Andrew Fradd, Group Managing Director of Mortimer Harvey, representing the agency and Mark White Nissan.
Hot 91.9FM contacted the chairperson of the SPCA live on air to share the exciting news. "There was an ecstatic response from both the SPCA and listeners," says Fradd. "This is a really challenging time for the SPCA as so many of our furry friends are neglected over the festive period. Anyone who would also like to make a contribution towards the fine work that the Benoni SPCA does can contact Jacques Verster at Mortimer Harvey on 083 276 9009."
