Top designers featured at Rooms on View

Having hosted nine successful exhibitions, Rooms on View has once again impressed visitors. The show, held at the Sandton Convention Centre, was sponsored by Home Fabrics and Condé Nast House & Garden. Oasys was the official infrastructure supplier for this popular décor and design event.

Rooms on View provides visitors with special insight into the décor and design industries of South Africa and visitors could expect to see offerings from leading designers in the country, as well as designs from new names to watch for in future. The show featured both local and international designers.

Carl Woodland, Chief Operating Officer for Oasys Exhibitions, commented on build-up for the show, "We offered the exhibitors stand packages, which included walling, electrical infrastructure and fascia names. We also laid the aisle carpets and supplied the general electrical infrastructure."

Says Kim Lowenstein, organiser of the show: "Rooms on view is the Premier Design and Décor Show in South Africa. Each exhibitor has to showcase their products and design talents in a full room setting. This allows visitors to see what is possible through using a selection of products available and by adding their own creativity."

"All the elements supplied for the show were unique solutions and bespoke to Rooms on View," says Woodland. "We manufactured the organiser's office, the press office and the registration counters. We also built the Hertex fabrics custom structure, which, after being decorated by John Jacob, was one of the stand award winners."

Guest of Honour at this year's show was world renowned interior designer, Vincente Wolf, who talked to visitors about 'Inspiration- a global vision of design'. Liz Morris, Editor of Condé Nast also hosted various design talks from leaders in the industry, touching the topic of 'Celebrating African aesthetic'.

Concludes Lowenstein: "We pride ourselves on being devoted specifically to the décor and design industry and showcasing the individual signature work of selected designers furniture manufacturers and other talent exhibitors. The show was a success on all accounts and we not only received positive feedback from our exhibitors but from those who visited the show."
