The CCC has decided to hear this matter on an urgent basis in terms of regulation 6 of the Regulations Governing the Aspects of the Complaints and Compliance Committee Procedures.

“This public hearing will afford both parties an opportunity to express their views on the matter and assist the Committee to resolve this alleged non-compliance in line with applicable laws,” says Icasa Council’s Dr Keabetswe Modimoeng.

Number portability regulations are important pro-consumer regulations aimed at stimulating competition and promoting consumer choice in their consumption of electronic communications services.
The public hearing will be held on 19 March 2018 at 10am at the ICASA Head Office in Sandton.
